SUELO SANO

Real change stems from community empowerment. If we want a safer, healthier environment, we are the ones who need to create it.

That’s why Suelo Sano offers programs, information, and resources on soil health and regenerative practices for overlooked and underserved neighborhoods of Chicago. By providing access to soil microbiome assessments, lead screenings for soil, educational workshops on soil health, and other resources, Suelo Sano is making backyards, school gardens, community gardens, and farms safer to grow food in.

Will you join us in taking action for a healthier local environment? Learn about our Soil Sense and RainReady workshops on our Projects page to get involved.

If your school or community group is interested in a workshop, please reach out. If you’re a local farmer or gardener, you can request compost, mulch, or other soil-building materials on our Resources page.

Or, if you want to support our work, please visit our Donate page (coming soon!). When it comes to remediating our soil, there’s a role for everyone.
